10:30am admissions tour

12:30pm Dr. Richard Fern, Yale Professor, speaks at Woolsey Hall

Lunch at Naples Pizza

1:30pm depart New Haven

2:30pm arrive at Blessed Sacrament Residence, New Rochelle, orientation

4pm depart for downtown

5:00pm visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral

6:00pm Dinner at Rockefeller Center

8:00pm Tour, Empire State Building

9:30pm Return to New Rochelle

 

Tuesday, August 5

8:00am Breakfast; depart New Rochelle

9:00am Visit Frederick Douglass High School, Harlem

10:30am Tour of Islamic Mosque at 113th St.

11am Lunch at Sylvia’s Soul Food, Harlem

12:30 Visit Apollo Theater/Clinton Headquarters

1:00pm Service work at Rice High School and 9/11 rooftop discussion

2:00pm Tour All Saints Church, Harlem

4:00pm Visit St. John the Divine—largest cathedral in the world

6:00pm Times Square—ESPN Zone dinner

9:00pm Central Park performance of Hair; team trivia challenge #1

 

Wednesday, August 6

7:00am Depart New Rochelle; breakfast en route

8:00am arrive midtown; attend taping of The Today Show

10:00am The United Nations—tour and briefing

12:00 Lunch—upper east side

1:00pm The Metropolitan Museum of Art

2:00pm Ground Zero tour with guest lecturer; walk to Wall St.

3:00pm Board Staten Island Ferry for New York Harbor tour

4:00pm Battery Park team challenge #2

5:30pm Depart for Shea Stadium

7:00pm New York Mets v. San Diego Padres

10:00pm return to New Rochelle; evening reflection

 

Thursday, August 7

8:00am Depart New Rochelle

9:00am Walking the Brooklyn Bridge

10:00am Visit Maryhouse/The Catholic Worker

11:30am Lunch in Union Square

12:30pm Meet with Paul Elie, Farrar Strauss, lecture on “American Saints”

2:00pm Depart for Yankee Stadium

3:00pm Yankee Stadium tour

4:30pm Visit All Hallows Christian Brothers School in the Bronx

7:00pm Depart for Chelsea Piers Sports complex

9:30pm Upright Citizens Brigade Show—“Improvised Shakespeare”
